I'm headed to Seattle for a long weekend tomorrow. I plan on taking many pictures, which I will be posting when I return on wednesday.

fall looks

Here are some of my favorite looks for fall. The weather here might not be right for some of these outfits, but maybe I'll adapt them for the hot, dry climate. Especially the Marc Jacobs fanny pack.

I saw the best textile exhibit at the art museum. My favorite highlights of the exhibition were the digital weavings by Lia Cook, embroidery by Elaine Reichek, and felt installations by Jean Hicks.

I just spent a week in Salt Lake City training for my new job. These are a few pictures of the Mormon temple area of town.

I am in Salt Lake City this week, training at Anthropologie. I've taken many pictures (including some illegal ones inside the art museum) which I will post promptly upon my return to Sin City.

unpacking

The unpacking is slowly progressing. Our moving van came a few days early, so we spent yesterday unpacking boxes and assembling furniture. I discovered one plus to living here; being so close to California, the nectarines are the size of softballs!

old vegas

We ventured out to Fremont Street tonight to experience the original Las Vegas. This strip has been in the same location since 1905. We played some old school slot machines, and won 160 bucks!

I think these speak for themselves, although I will say that the Bellagio fountains were 'dancing' to a Shania Twain song. I'm trying to maintain a positive attitude.

From Boulder, we continued on to Santa Fe, and then over the Hoover Dam.
