red rock details

This time at Red Rock Canyon, I decided to take pictures of lichens and interesting rock details. One photo in particular looks like bacon.

bellagio

When Tiff and Melissa visited a few weeks ago, we decided to check out the Bellagio. It's very fancy. I especially love the Chihuly ceiling in the lobby.

merry christmas, from tiff

I got some blue sky alpaca yarn from Tiff, and made a hat for myself last night. Thanks Tiff!

sneak peek

Here's a look at my latest craft project. This is all I can show, because I don't want to give too much away too soon.

red rock canyon

I celebrated my birthday by taking a scenic tour of Red Rock Canyon. The day started out rainy, but ended up sunny and nice. It looked like there had been a brush fire, as a lot of the small trees and bushes were blackened.

happy halloween

new things

Here's what I bought at Red Rooster Antiques; an old tool caddy (to hold craft supplies) and a 5-loaf bread pan (for who knows what).

red rooster antiques

I finally found the architectural salvage and antiques store in Las Vegas! There are typical junk store antiques in one section, and the most amazing salvaged architecture and miscellaneous stuff in an adjacent warehouse.

ferry to baimbridge island

Seattle is an amazing city. After walking through all the neighborhoods, parks, and downtown areas, we took a ferry across the sound to Bainbridge Island. The island was small and cute, and the boat ride there was beautiful.

This is the cutest menswear boutique in Seattle (or anywhere).

seattle public library

This library is amazing; we weren't able to go inside, but I hear the interior is amazing as well.
